Doppio Zero Concord Veranda serves up a Southern Italian dining experience nestled in a modern Concord strip mall, making it a convenient spot for families, date nights, or casual gatherings with friends. The restaurant’s vibe mixes a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere with a touch of sophistication, especially apparent when dining outdoors on the veranda during their live music nights.

The menu clearly leans into authentic Neapolitan flavors, highlighted by their brick oven-fired pizzas such as the Salsiccia Pizza loaded with Italian sausage and bell peppers, and specialty items like the Fried Calamari Shrimp and Prosciutto with Burrata. Vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diners will find thoughtful options here as well, reflecting the inclusive nature of their offerings. The food arrives fresh and well-prepared, though some dishes like the salmon or pasta may occasionally miss perfect cooking marks, but the overall flavor profiles keep the experience enjoyable.

Service tends to be prompt and friendly, often coming from staff with genuine Italian roots, which adds a bit of authenticity to the hospitality. The interior feels polished yet approachable, with the addition of a well-stocked bar offering a variety of draft beers and cocktails—making it a solid option for those looking to unwind after work or celebrate special occasions.

This spot works well for:

  • Brunch or dinner outings where sharing a variety of pizzas, pastas, and small plates fits the mood
  • Families, thanks to a detailed kid’s menu and a welcoming environment
  • Anyone seeking a casual yet lively location that balances traditional recipes with contemporary dining trends
  • Those who appreciate outdoor seating paired with live music on warm evenings

Best times to visit are weekends for the vibrant veranda atmosphere or weeknights when a quieter dining experience with attentive service can be enjoyed. While not every dish might be flawless, the restaurant’s commitment to Southern Italian classics and their approachable setting make it a reliable choice when craving authentic Italian fare in Concord.

Such an amazing place! First time visit to this Doppio situated in an upscale strip-mall type of setting in Concord. The seating and check-in was fairly fast and our hostess was super nice. Within minutes, we placed our order and within minutes the fresh food arrived. Each item was delish, fresh, and tasty. I highly recommend Doppio Zero for a very good italian meal! A+++

Came here for dinner to celebrate 3 birthdays on a Saturday. We had made reservations ahead of time. We were seated at our reservation time. The food was really tasteful. They have a variety of foods to choose from. Calamari appetizer was yum. Cooked to a perfect crisp. Not sure if I like the pizza too much. The crust is really thin and the toppings don't stay on the pizza. The crust was good though. There's indoor dining and outside. It can get pretty loud inside. Our waiter Troy did an awesome job despite the 14 people we had in our party. He checked up on us frequently and was prompt at getting us what we needed!!

Service was nice and atmosphere was also great. We ate outdoors since the veranda had live music. The food was good but it wasn't stand out amazing. Our salmon was overcooked and the pasta a little less cooked than al dente but the flavors of the dishes were really good and things like that arent major. We'd eat here again to give other dishes a try. They are known for their pizzas, so we wish we gave those a try.

Great Italian restraunt, there's a nice bar inside with good draft beers and lots of liquor choices. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. The brick-oven baked pizza is amazing! Soft bread but well cooked. Their Prosciutto and Burrata are delicious, too. The bread was a little hard for me, but it had good flavor. Lastly the Cioccolato cake with mixed berries is irresistible. Highly recommend this place!

The food and the drinks were really good. I’ve tried their signature cocktail and it was fresh and fruity. I had the sea bass and it was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and all flavors came together in harmony.

Doppio Zero in Concord offers an authentic Italian dining experience that truly impressed me from start to finish. We ordered the La Carne pizza along with other menu items, and everything arrived incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The crust on the pizza struck the perfect balance of crispy and airy, topped with high-quality ingredients that showcased the restaurant’s commitment to traditional Italian flavors. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — modern, yet cozy — making it suitable for date nights, family gatherings, or casual dinners with friends. They offer beer and wine, and I really enjoyed a chilled Peroni, which paired perfectly with the food. Another plus is the free and ample parking, which makes dining here that much more convenient. The space is also accessible, making it easy for all guests to enjoy. Our total came out to around $140, and it felt worth every penny considering the quality, service, and overall experience. If you’re looking for a genuine Italian restaurant in the East Bay with excellent pizza and a great vibe, Doppio Zero is a must-try — I’ll definitely be returning soon! Just an amazing place
